On the day of your celebration, I will perform the marriage or civil union and take care of completing the marriage license seamlessly.  I specialize in a wide array of ceremonies, ensuring that your unique vision is brought to life. Whether you're dreaming of a cultural wedding ceremony, an intimate backyard gathering, or a beach wedding, I can accommodate your desires, including agnostic weddings, secular celebrations, and earth-centered rituals. What is a wedding officiant?

A wedding officiant is primarily known as the person who leads the marriage ceremony. However, their role extends beyond just that. A wedding officiant is anyone legally authorized to conduct a marriage ceremony. Typically, this term refers to non-denominational and often non-religious officiants who do not have any formal affiliation with a church. Couples who do not regularly attend religious services often find non-denominational officiants to be ideal because they provide greater flexibility in crafting their ceremony.  Whether secular or religious, an officiant collaborates with the couple in the weeks and months leading up to the wedding day to create a ceremony that may include personal vows, readings, music selections, and more.

It is important that the officiant is legally ordained to perform weddings in the respective state and understands the laws regarding marriage licenses in that jurisdiction. On the wedding day, the officiant completes and signs the marriage license alongside the witnesses and submits it to the county clerk’s office for certification. This may seem like a minor detail, but without a marriage license, the couple is not legally married—making the officiant's role crucial.

As a wedding officiant, I am committed to serving all individuals without discrimination based on race, nationality, religion, politics, sexual orientation, or status.
