About Me - your traveling Notary Public

 Why did I choose a lighthouse as the image for my About Me page? I have a deep affection for lighthouses and have pictures of them throughout my home. Visiting lighthouses and learning about their history brings me joy. A lighthouse serves as a beacon of safety; metaphorically, it symbolizes the pursuit of meaning in our lives. Lighthouses represent strength, safety, individuality, and mystery.  I have been a New Jersey-commissioned Notary Public for over 20 years. From 1989 - 2014, I worked for Universal Pictures. Yes, the same motion picture studio that released blockbuster hits such as the Jurassic Park franchise, the Fast and Furious franchise, Despicable Me, E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, Mamma Mia, King Kong, Jaws, and Back to the Future, to name a few. I managed the New Jersey, Delaware, Pennsylvania, Puerto Rico, Cleveland, and Detroit territories, overseeing the distribution of our first-run movies to theaters in those areas. Additionally, I was responsible for organizing movie screenings in those markets before films were released. During the summer, I also coordinated the summer kids' movies at Regal Cinemas in those territories. This role allowed me to attend movie premieres, screenings, and luncheons with actors and top executives at Universal Studios. 

Here are some fun facts that illustrate the vibrant environment of my former workplace: Martin Scorsese, the legendary film director, chose the service elevator whenever he visited our office. If you find yourself in an elevator with Spike Lee, prepare for a riveting and thought-provoking conversation. Tom Selleck has a knack for offering autographs, whether you ask for one or not. Marc Anthony, the ever-charismatic singer, is genuinely friendly and will engage anyone in conversation. It was during my enriching journey at Universal Pictures that I discovered my desire to become a Notary Public, embracing the opportunity to serve my community.
