 * Get to know your wedding officiant, because he/she is going to play an important role in your wedding.

*  Make sure their values line up with yours..

*  It’s essential that you and your partner actually get along with your officiant.

*  Couples to inquire about the type of ceremony their officiant is able to perform, such as religious, non-denominational, interfaith, spiritual, or commitment.

*  Officiants will work from a particular wedding ceremony script, but it’s essential to ask if they work to customize the details. “A ceremony should be a unique reflection of your love story and journey as a couple."

*  Be wary of an officiant who says they don’t need any input.
